Our dedicated staff members coordinate student paperwork, make advanced scheduling requests, and verify student immunizations to help make precepting a seamless experience. The most common reason for choosing to precept is to give back to the medical profession, and it keeps providers current with resources and medical knowledge.
The University of Iowa PA Program acknowledges outstanding contribution made by preceptors each year by awarding the Preceptor of the Year Award. Senior students have the opportunity to nominate preceptors they have worked with during their clinical year.
