About the M&I DEI Committee

We strongly believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in academia not only enhance creativity, but also provide broader and important perspectives from different backgrounds. The Department has been committed to the inclusion of faculty and trainees with barriers to access. Our goal is to cultivate a safe and welcoming learning and growing culture for all personnel.

The M&I DEI committee meets 4 times during the academic school year. One years begin in August. Anyone working in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology (from undergraduate to faculty level) is welcome to voice concerns or suggestions, attend meetings or join the DEI committee.
