Global Health Distinction Track Curriculum
M1 Year -
- Completion of required MED:8081 and MED:8082 on-campus elective courses
- Completion of 8-week Global Programs elective during summer between M1 and M2 years
M2 Year -
- Optional completion of at least one semester of Global Health Seminar course (MED:8084)
- Further development of a global health interest area and identification of a faculty mentor
- Submission of project abstract to acceptable academic conference based on completed summer program
M3 Year -
- Narrowing of interest area and initial work on identifying a community in which to pursue final-year M4 elective to complete project
M4 Year -
- Completion of at least one M4 Global Programs clerkship (minimum 4-weeks) relating to chosen emphasis topic
- Conference or classroom presentation of work
- Submission of final paper
