Research Interest Group

The medical student Research Interest Group aims to get medical students excited about research. We want students to know that not only PhDs do research, but MDs do, too! Gaining exposure to research in the early portion of medical training can help students plan their careers.

The club plans to have monthly meetings where we'll have guest MD and peer presenters, journal readings, and more. The Research Interest Group is part of the Iowa Medical Student Research Program.

Participation in the club is an excellent way to fulfill the ongoing research activities for the Research Distinction Track (RDT).
