Dr. Dawn Quelle, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pharmacology was selected to receive the 2015 J.P. Long Award for Teaching in the Basic Sciences.  The award honors basic science faculty who not only demonstrate unusually significant and meritorious achievement in teaching throughout their career, but also are accomplished scientists and good citizens.  In her faculty nomination letters, phrases used to describe Dr. Quelle were outstanding educator, inspiring role model and exceptional mentor, both in the classroom and lab.

An outstanding characteristic of Dr. Quelle is the meaningful relationships she has with her students.
