The Vice Chair for Education provides leadership, perspective, and prioritization of supportive resources to address the range of educational endeavors within the department. The vice chair works closely with other directors of educational-related units to facilitate the ongoing development of educational and training program consistent with the mission, vision, and goals of the department. The Vice Chair for Obstetrics provides leadership in providing the highest level of obstetric inpatient care and patient experience.  The vice chair will also assist in the integration of teaching, research, and other scholarly activities with clinical work across our different clinics. The vice chair will work to improve patient satisfaction, manage the LDR remodel, and improve UIHC metrics around obstetrics. Perform other duties in collaboration with the DEO.

The Vice Chair for Clinical Operations provides leadership, perspective, and management experience to assist the Departmental Executive Officer with outpatient operations, faculty recruitment/onboarding/retention, and departmental finances/funds flow. Works closely with the OBG administration to optimize clinical operations across all clinical venues via the Executive Operations Council.  Perform other duties in collaboration with the DEO.

The Vice Chair for Research providers leadership and perspective with supportive resources to address the range of research endeavors within the department. The vice chair will meet with faculty interested in research endeavors to identify research projects and opportunities. Explore additional research support to assist with research project development, statistical analysis, paper and grant writing.  Oversee efficient, effective grant collaborations within the department to maximize resources for all faculty.
