Microbiology undergraduate senior Cassie Sievers (pictured) was awarded the Allen J. Markovetz Award grand prize for the 2024 Spring Undergraduate Poster Symposium. The event had 22 poster submissions from junior and senior microbiology majors, marking a rise from previous years. Undergraduates Elizabeth Elias and Hiruni Sumansiri tied for second place. All winners will receive cash prizes and their posters will be displayed on the 3rd floor of the BSB Atrium.
