  • Graduation Reception and Ceremony

    The College of Medicine’s graduation reception will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Medical Education and Research Facility. Family and friends are invited. This menu is referred to as “heavy hors d’oeuvres". It is not a full meal. There is no charge to attend. Students are encouraged to give their family and friends a tour of the building. The class composite picture will be on display and the Match Day slides will be running on the monitors in the atrium.

    The College of Medicine’s graduation ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 12, 2016 at Hancher Auditorium. The doors open at 5:30 pm. Graduates must arrive no later than 6:00 pm. Due to limited seating, students will receive an allotment of tickets for their guests. There is no reserved seating. Anyone with family or friends who use a wheelchair should contact Marcia Hopp in the Office of Medical Student Affairs and Curriculum to arrange specific seating, marcia-hopp@uiowa.edu, 319-335-8053 or 1-800-342-2978.

    In addition to the Doctor of Medicine degrees the Masters in Medical Education degree will also be awarded..
