Research Description

My current research is focused on characterizing protective CD8 T cell response against liver-stage Plasmodium infections using mouse as a model system. Major focus points are:

  • Successful induction of memory CD8 T cell responses by prime-boost vaccination with subunit formulations
  • Dissecting numerical values required for protection
  • Influence of host background genes on CD8 T cell-mediated protection against Plasmodium infections¬†
