Research Interests

My overarching interest is in how proteins are regulated, and in particular that they are not simply turned on or off by single signals, but are modulated in response to multiple inputs to meet the needs of the cell at the time. In my work, I am studying how different signals, such as post-translational modifications, ligands, and association with other biological macromolecules including DNA, change the structure and dynamics of proteins of the glucocorticoid receptor, a steroid activated transcription factor that is one of the primary targets in the treatment of leukemias and lymphomas.
