Dr. Ziying Yan, Research Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology, has been elected to join the University of Iowa Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors. 

 The NAI was founded to recognize and encourage inventors with U.S. patents, enhance the visibility of academic technology and innovation, encourage the disclosure of intellectual property, educate and mentor innovative students, and to create wider public understanding of how its members’ inventions benefit society. The University of Iowa Chapter has been created to honor our inventors and further the innovative spirit within the university. Dr. Salem will serve as the Chapter President. 

The Chapter will be hosting a reception on September 4th, 2024 at Hancher Auditorium. You are cordially invited to attend the reception, and a save-the-date will be sent out within the month. 

We are delighted to have such an innovative representative from the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, and look forward to celebrating Dr. Yan’s achievements at the reception.  Congratulations Dr. Yan!
