New minor in Physical Activity and Nutrition Science is now offered by the Department of Health and Human Physiology

A new minor in Physical Activity and Nutrition Science has been approved, now offered by the Department of Health and Human Physiology. It was designed in conjunction with the Obesity Research and Education Initiative to educate students on the underlying causes, consequences, treatment, and prevention of obesity. Topics include physical activity, nutrition, physiology, psychology, and human disease. Students attaining the minor will be prepared to apply this information in areas such as clinical health professions, public health policy, personal coaching and fitness, health psychology, health promotion, and others. Students may not earn the minor who are earning the Health and Human Physiology BA, the Human Physiology BS, the Athletic Training BS, or the minor in Human Physiology.
