The University of Iowa Department of Surgery is offering a Breast Surgery Fellowship. The Breast Fellowship Program is offered by the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology. The Breast Cancer Program is part of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, a nationally designated NCI center, and is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the improvement of breast cancer care.
In addition to the breast surgery service, fellows will participate in rotations in radiation oncology, medical oncology, breast imaging, plastics, and pathology services. The fellow will also participate in genetic counseling clinics.
Fellows will be expected to participate in a research project that would lead to a presentation at a national meeting, as well as participate in the educational activities for medical students and residents, and community outreach.
