The department is patient focused and consistently ranked in the 95th
percentile for patient satisfaction nationwide. Other strengths

- A robust research enterprise. Research within the department
includes basic scientists as well as a strong team of clinician
researchers. Work by R. Alfredo Siochi, assistant professor of radiation
oncology, was named "Best Article of 2010" by the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics.
- Dedicated people. Peggy Folkmann has been named among the "Top 100 Iowa Nurses."

implementing evidence and research based techniques and procedures. A
versatile and capable physics core provides both common and rare types
of treatment.
