Garry Buettner was one of 20 researchers honored at the inaugural "Wall of Scholarship Induction Ceremony". The event recognized scholars who had authored a publication that had been cited over 1000 times. Dr Buettner has three such publications: 1) Spin trapping: ESR parameters of spin adducts, 2) The pecking order of free radical and antioxidants: lipid peroxidation, alpha-tocopherol, and ascorbate, 3) Redox environment of the cell as viewed through the redox state of the glutathione disulfide/ glutatione couple. The ceremony was attended by a cohort of researchers who had achieved this milestone. The awards were presented by Sue Curry (acting Provost), and Dean of the College of Medicine, J. Brooks Jackson.
