    Continuing Medical Education

There are several opportunities for faculty and staff at the University of Iowa and health care professionals across the state to expand their knowledge of the field through continuing medical education activities in the Department of Psychiatry.

    Research Seminar

Faculty in the department or distinguished visitors present current research or topics that are of special interest on a weekly basis. The seminar helps faculty and staff stay abreast of new findings in the field and research methods. For more information, please contact Sherry Flanagan at 319-356-1144 or sherry-flanagan@uiowa.edu.

    Grand Rounds

Faculty in the department or distinguished visitors present interesting or challenging patients, and discuss topics of special interest on a weekly basis. When a case is presented, the patient's history is reviewed, which is following by an interview. Relevant literature, including the natural history and current treatment of the disorder, is presented, reviewed, and discussed. For more information, please contact Sherry Flanagan at 319-356-1144 or sherry-flanagan@uiowa.edu.

    Iowa Health Pro Network

Iowa Health Pro Network bridges the gap between an academic medical center and the state's health professional communities—giving them access to current information on the safest and most effective care for their patients. View webcasts from Iowa Health Pro Network on topics in psychiatry and psychology. Some videos may be eligible for continuing medical education credits.
