Thank you for visiting the ACT on Health website! ACT on Health is a research laboratory dedicated to improving the lives of people who are experiencing distress and disability due to medical and psychiatric problems using treatments such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and other behavioral principals. We hope to not only treat the problem, but improve overall health and help people live fulfilling lives that are not controlled by pain and distress.
"Acceptance and commitment therapy gets its name from one of its core messages: to accept what is out of your personal control, while committing to action that will improve your quality of life. The aim of acceptance and commitment therapy is to help people create a rich, full and meaningful life, while effectively handling the pain and stress that life inevitably brings."
