From Dean Jean Robillard: “One of our top priorities at the UI Carver College of Medicine is to foster the development of physician-scientists who will become future leaders in academic medicine. Under the direction of Drs. Joel Kline and Jack Widness, the Physician Scientist Training Pathway (PSTP) enhances the training of young physician-scientists by integrating the exceptional residency and fellowship programs of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with postdoctoral training in basic, translational, or clinical research. I believe that the PSTP provides an ideal blueprint for the efficient and successful postgraduate training of physician-scientists.”
