We will discuss classical
and ongoing experiments that form the basis of our current understanding
of receptors and signal transduction. We will cover the major receptor
families. Within each group of receptors, emphasis will be placed on
the description and interpretation of specific experiments and experimental
strategies that provide the conceptual framework for current research.
