    Terry Trueblood Lodge

The Department of Pharmacology, together with the Pharmacological Sciences Training Program, will hold its first research retreat on Tuesday, May 8, from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, at the Terry Trueblood Park Lodge (579 McCollister Blvd., Iowa City).

The program includes a continental breakfast and lunch, talks and posters displaying ongoing research in the department.  There will be poster prizes in three presenter categories (undergraduate, graduate students, postdocs/staff).

In addition, the keynote address will be given by Yuriy Kirichok, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Physiology, University of California, San Francisco.  His talk will be entitled, "Mitochondrial Uncoupling and Thermogenesis".  The success of the retreat depends on full participation from all.

Looking forward to a great retreat!
