The MDA provides basic photographic and graphic services strictly to University of Iowa Department of Pathology personnel on a first come, first served basis. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Messages or work may be left in the Pathology Learning Center (PLC), 1000 Medical Laboratories. Electronic files may be deposited in the “MDA Drop” folder on the Pathology server (HEALTHCARE>HCFILE4>PATHOLOGY>MDA DROP). Be sure to call or e-mail to insure the files were received.

Graphic Services Offered	Turnaround Time
Digital image editing	Generally 2 days, depending on quantity and complexity (cropping, composites, levels, color correction, cmyk conversion, etc.)
Wide format posters for meetings	Please allow 1 week minimum, see Wide Format Poster Guidelines (above, left). Print only, 1-2 days
Layouts	Generally 2 days per item, depends on complexity (combinations of text and graphics, flyers, brochures, announcements, etc.)
Mounting (< 11”x17”), laminating (<8.5”x11”), trimming	Generally 2 days, depending on quantity
Simple graphics	Generally 2 days, depending on quantity and complexity (poster titles, small signs, diagrams, graphs, etc.)
CD, DVD burning	Generally 1 day, depending on size and quantity
1-2 sided laser printing, up to 11”x17”	1-2 days, depending on quantity
Large jobs, consultations and free advice	Please call or email

Out-of-House Film Processing & Printing	Turnaround Time (Leave film for processing in PLC)
Ektachrome, color/B&W print film,enlargements, slide duplicates	By special request only, CALL

Any order with a due date that does not reflect these turnaround times is considered a rush order and will be accommodated if possible. Otherwise, jobs are referred to: Creative Media (1185 Westlawn, 335-7700, fee for service).
