Dr. Robinson's research interests center around diagnostic molecular surgical pathology and related biotechnology matters.

He currently is interested in developing fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) techniques for research and clinical applications as well as exploring new technologies including biosensors and atomic force microscopy. In addition, he has interest in preneoplastic lesions and their diagnosis using molecular techniques. He also has an interest in surgical pathology of the head and neck and diseases of the thyroid.
