Medical Pathology I. This is a required five hour course in the M2 years. Students have in depth exposure to mechanisms of disease and major clinical manifestations of disease organ systems. This course is a pre-requisite to Medical Pathology II. Open only to medical students or graduate students with the consent of the instructor.

Morphological aspects of disease is important part of the education for second year Medical Students. A list of Core Morphologic Entities of Disease for Second Year Medical Students forms the basis for a computer program for our medical students called Identification of Morphologic Entities of Disease (IMED). It is available on the College of Medicine intranet.
Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Clinical Clerkship. All M3 or M4 students take this required one semester hour course. In this course Students will learn principles of interpretation of laboratory testing, as well as the ways in which the Clinical Pathology Laboratories help in diagnosis of individual patient's disease.
Research Clerkships in Pathology. Pathology faculty sponsor short research rotations in the Clinical Years. Research projects include 1) clinical research. 2) basic research. 3) development and evaluation of educational resources for medical student courses.
