Plasma
Collection Medium:
Light Blue top tube (Na Citrate)
Minimum:
Full draw, any size blue top(mix well). Tube must be at least 90% full.
Specimen
Instructions:
Must be drawn swiftly with a clean venipuncture (no hematoma). Time 
drawn must be indicated.
Testing Schedule:
24 hrs/day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
Analytic Time:
2 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)
Reference Range:
180-350 mg/dl

Critical value: <80 mg/dl
Comments:
Fibrinogen may be performed on the same collection tube as Activated 
Partial Thromboplastin time (aPTT) and Prothrombin Time (PT).
Methodology:
Activity by optical clot detection.
