Information Network For Online Retrieval and Medical Management (INFORMM) Patient Record (IPR) is a retrieval function on all work stations through the inpatient and outpatient clinic locations at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
| 1. | Click on a group line to highlight the group and all of its components. Click again to de-select. |
| 2. | Click on a test line to highlight just that test and it’s group line. Click again to de-select. |
| 3. | Select lines all the selected tests will be profiled in the Graph and Tabular Profiles. |
| 4. | Highlight the desired lines and select Edit/Paste from the menu or Paste from the tool button bar in order to paste results into a document. |

| 1. | Enter a profile name into the field "Profile name" in the column Selected Profile. |
| 2. | Tab or click in the "Search for: Tests" field to begin entering the components (tests) of your profile. As you type, the list of displayed test will change to match your entry. |
| 3. | Drag the component test into the Test Name field under your Profile Name. Repeat steps 1-3 for all components of your profile. NOTE: You may resort the tests by dragging the test up or down into the correct sequence. Click Delete Test to delete a highlighted test in the user profile. |
| 4. | Click Save Profile to save all entries. The new User profile will be alphabetized into the section of "Define Profiles: User" on the left. |
| 1. | Click Copy User Profile. |
| 2. | Enter all or part of the user’s last name or INFORMM ID. |
| 3. | After clicking "Ok" the user’s profiles will display in the section of "Define Profiles: Other ". |
| 4. | To view the components or tests of the profile, double click on the profile or drag the profile into the "Selected Profile" section. |
| 5. | You can change the name of the profile or edit the profile tests by following the steps listed above under creating User Profiles. |
| 6. | Click Save Profile and your new User profile will be inserted into the section of "Defined Profiles: User". |
| 1. | Double click on the defined profile. |
| 2. | Your profile and its components will populate the center column. |
| 3. | Modify either the Profile Name or Test Name with your changes. |
| 4. | Click Save Profile to save all modifications. |
| 1. | When a profile is displayed in the selected profile, with append displayed, another profile will be appended to the end of the selected profile to the maximum of ten components. |
| 2. | When a profile is displayed in the selected profile, with replace displayed, another profile will replace the displayed profile. |
| 1. | Click on a test result line to create a graph or or table of all instances of that test within the selected date range. |
| 2. | Clilck on a group line to profile the tests performed at that time against those same tests throughout the selected date range. |
| 3. | Click View/Profile from the menu, or Profile on the button bar, to open the Edit Lab Profile window. From here you can select any predefined global or personal "user" profile, create or modify a personal profile, or copy another user’s profile. See information above regarding global and personal user profiles, or click ? (Help) on the Edit Lab Profile window for more details. |
| 4. | A button on the button bar switches between "Append" and "Replace" when you click it. To add additional tests to the graph or tabular profile, click it to say "Append". To replace all profiled tests with the next one you select, click the button to say "Replace". |
| 5. | Click and hold on a point on the graph to see the source value. |
| 6. | Click on a table entry to highlight the source value in the Results tab. |
