Farewell to Brittan Barker
Brittan's primary research interest is the link between spoken language processing and language acquisition in infants and toddlers with hearing loss. In particular, she is interested in learning about the mechanisms and processes underlying the speech perception skills of congenitally deaf children who use hearing aids and/or cochlear implants. It is Brittan’s goal to use her research as a means to account for individual differences across listeners and ultimately facilitate spoken language learning across listeners with all levels of hearing.
