Following this series of lectures and cadaver dissections, the participants should be able to describe and discuss contemporary surgical approaches to the management of head and neck neoplasms, and understand the role of radiation and chemotherapy in the contemporary management of head and neck cancers.
The laboratory will include detailed prosections that demonstrate a wide spectrum of ablative and reconstructive procedures including pedicled and free tissue transfer reconstruction. Personal instruction with dissections is offered to course participants during the laboratory. The laboratory is particularly useful to residents in mastering the anatomy and techniques of head and neck ablative and reconstructive procedures.
All lectures are held in the Otolaryngology Conference Room, 21271 PFP, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, 200 Hawkins Drive, Iowa City, Iowa, 52242, US
