The Department of Pediatrics seeks highly qualified applicants for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor on the tenure track in the area of obesity and/or diabetes. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the clinical, research and teaching activities of the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will also participate in an ambitious multidisciplinary University of Iowa Obesity Research and Education Initiative (OREI). New faculty will complement the University’s existing expertise in these areas to form the core of the OREI.
The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member in the Department of Surgery, Division of Gastrointestinal, Minimally-Invasive, and Bariatric Surgery at the level of Associate or Full Professor in the tenure-track. The successful candidate for this position will be a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center (FOEDRC) and the University of Iowa Obesity Research and Education Initiative (OREI). New faculty in the OREI will complement the University’s existing expertise in this University intercollegiate, multidisciplinary initiative. Participation in the FOEDRC and OREI will be an important component in performance evaluations. In addition, the new hire may be eligible for appointment as Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Surgery, appointment to a basic science department, as well as appointment to the Dr. Edward and Dordana Mason Professorship.
The Department of Health & Human Physiology at the University of Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track position (full-salaried academic-year appointment) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applications are encouraged from individuals with an interdisciplinary focus on research at the interface of health behavior or behavioral medicine and obesity in any area including but not limited to nutrition, physical activity, stress management interventions; epidemiology; public health; policy and/or dissemination and implementation of health behaviors for prevention and treatment of diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and/or cardiovascular disease.
