Medical Student Research Day is a day for the CCOM community to enjoy learning about research projects conducted by medical students in the college. Our next Research Day will be Friday, September 4, 2015. First and second year medical school classes are suspended for the day so all can take advantage of this opportunity. There will be specific assignments related to the day's events for M1 and M2 in conjunction with one of their regular courses.
Posters of the students' research will be on display throughout the day. Concurrent oral presentations will begin at 8:15 AM in various classrooms throughout MERF. Jeff Murray, MD - Professor, Department of Pediatrics and Deputy Director, Discovery and Translational Sciences at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation - will be the keynote speaker at 10:30 AM. There will be two judging rounds for poster presentations (SRF and SUMR participants only) at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM to fill out the day's events.
For a look back at last year when we had over 100 student research presentations, check out the program, abstracts and list of award winners for 2014.
