Noteservice
What is it?
Noteservice is a student run program that provides study material
for students. Our main service is using screen-capture software to
make videos of lectures. These videos consist of the presentation
synched to the lecture audio. These videos are then streamed to student
through course websites. Avenues such as podcasts are also currently
being explored.
How does it work?
Volunteers are needed from each class to 1) Make the
screen-capture videos and 2) Edit and post the screen capture material
on course websites. Lectures are typically available to students either
the evening that the lecture occurs or the next morning.
Why get involved?
Noteservice offers a unique opportunity to work with many
different people on campus. You provide valuable study material to your
classmates, interact with lecturers and course directors, and work with
ITS and other departments on campus.
Want more information?
If you are an incoming M1 and want to know more about
Noteservice, an M2 Noteservice representative will be speaking to you
during orientation about forming your own Noteservice committee.
