Infectious Diseases Interest Group
The Infectious Diseases Interest Group is designed to help medical
students become more familiar with the field of Infectious Diseases and
to learn about its cross-disciplinary nature.
Throughout the year we will have lunch meetings with guest
speakers in various areas of the specialty - including, but not limited
to the aspects ofa patient centered practice, research interests, and
hot topics in the media. As another option, students will also have the
chance to be involved in a student run journal club to discuss
interesting cases and topics in the field of Infectious Diseases.
Once the group is well established, we are hoping to include
participants from the other professional and graduate colleges across
campus. This will allow for medical students to be exposed to other
career options and encourage interdisciplinary networking.
We will be available during orientation week at the student
organization fair for any questions that you may have. We look foward to
seeing everyone at the meetings!!
