To register for an Individually Arranged Global Programs Elective, please contact Robin Paetzold at 353-5762 to discuss your plans. As your plans develop, you will be asked to define your educational objectives related to the elective as well as discuss the evaluation criteria that will be used to assess your performance. Formal request of the elective must be made at least four weeks in advance through submission of a signed Individually Arranged Elective Request form; M1-M2 Summer, M4 year. Students are required to complete the Conditions of Participation form that is included in the elective form packet. Formal approval of the elective from Global Programs is necessary for elective credit. Individually Arranged Global Electives completed during your M1 and M2 year can not be applied towards clinical clerkship obligations during your M4 year. Individually Arranged Global Electives completed during your M4 year may be applied toward your clinical clerkship obligations.
As part of the electives requirements, students are usually required to submit reports on their experiences. These reports can be found here.
