Medical Ethics Organization
The medical profession has long subscribed to a body of ethical
statements developed primarily for the benefit of the patient. As a
member of this profession, a physician must recognize responsibility to
patients first and foremost, as well as to society, to other health
professionals, and to self.

The Medical Ethics Organization (MEO) was created in order to:
- establish a forum for discussion and debate about bioethical issues
- appreciate the ethical choices and challenges that are part of the practice of medicine
- bring about awareness and education of current bioethical topics to the students and community
- understand how ethical reasoning is incorporated into clinical practice
Some of the activities that MEO organizes are class surveys,
guest speakers, open debates, and educational service projects.
Furthermore, since this is such a young organization there is a lot of
room for suggestions and any other ideas.
