Digital Signage Service (MedVision)

The purpose of The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (CCOM) MedVision system is to highlight staff, faculty and student events and accomplishments and to serve as a vehicle for internal communications for the campus communicty and visitors. This is a closed-circuit campus communications system which utilizes LCD monitors to broadcast important information throughout the College of Medicine and UIHC areas.

Individuals wishing to post announcements should complete and submit the request form available through the link above. Located on the request form are PowerPoint templates and directions for creating and submitting message requests. The administrator will review messages for content and timelines prior to posting.

Staff are also available to discuss additions to the system for units interested in placing and controlling monitors within their unit. Administrator training is also available for new users.

Availability

Carver College of Medicine monitors cycle through messages (10 seconds per slide) from 6:30am- 6:30pm. Monitors automatically power down after 6:30pm on weekday evenings and are also powered down on weekends. Special arrangements can be made for major events occurring after hours.

Staff is available to load and make changes to content from 7:30am- 4:30pm.
