This meeting held at the beautiful Waterville Valley Resort will highlight the latest advances in phagocyte biology. Session themes are listed below, and the full program and additional information about the venue, travel and lodging can be found at: www.grc.org

    Session themes:

                -Macrophage Functional Genomics (Keynote)
-Bacterial pathogens and the Host Response
                -Inflammasomes
                -Phagocytosis and phagosome maturation
-Altered States of Phagocytes in Health and Disease
                -Cell Migration and Polarization
                -Phagocytes in the Tumor Microenvironment
-The Expanding Role of Neutrophils in Immunity and Inflammation
                -New Aspects of Regulation

In addition, the Phagocytes GRC will be immediately preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar that is specifically run by and for graduate students, postdocs and other trainees.

    3rd Phagocytes Gordon Research Seminar

    June 8-9, 2013
    Waterville Valley, New Hampshire
Co-Chairs: Juhi Bagaitkar and Christine Becker

Theme: “Inflammation, Infection and Repair – Exploring Phagocyte Diversity”

The objective of the GRS is to provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with a venue for presentation of their data via talks and posters in an atmosphere that also fosters networking and career development.  Speakers at the GRS are selected from the submitted abstracts.  Attendees of the GRS are expected also to attend the associated Phagocytes GRC, though the registration is separate. The first two Seminars held in conjunction with the Phagocytes GRC in 2009 and 2011 were extremely successful.

GRS abstract deadline for candidate speakers:  March 15, 2013
GRS final application deadline:                            May 11, 2103

For the 14th International TNF Conference
Taking place at Loews Le Concorde in Quebec City from July 7-10, 2013

The TNF Conference holds a biennial meeting focused on the biology of the TNF superfamily of ligands and receptors.  This tradition began in 1987 with the cloning of TNF and continued with the ongoing discovery of new ligand and receptor family members. Currently, approximately 300 attendees come together from Europe, North America and Asia, with broad representation from academia and the biopharmaceutical industry. Our delegates include international leaders in the field, established academics and trainees.

Co-Organizers: Dr. Linda Burkly (Biogen Idec) and Dr. Jen Gommerman (University of Toronto)
