Center for Immunology and Immune Based Diseases

The Center for Immunology and Immune-based Diseases will hold its Annual Retreat on Thursday, August 22, 2013.  Please join us at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Iowa City to spend the day.  

The schedule will include two keynote speakers, Andrew Hurwitz, National Cancer Institute and Joanne Flynn, University of Pittsburgh, posters from Center members, as well as an informal lunch, refreshment breaks and a dinner banquet/awards ceremony with musical entertainment by The Recliners to wrap up the night.

These talks and posters are a great way for the University of Iowa Immunology community to interact and find out what is going on around campus.  In addition, we invite prospective students from the Biosciences and MSTP programs who are interested in learning more about immunology research.

Abstracts

Abstracts are due.

Submit all poster abstracts electronically to immunology-center@healthcare.uiowa.edu.

Please prepare abstracts in 12-point font, < 1 page in length, with 1” margins. Indicate whether the first author (who should be the poster presenter) is a student, fellow, staff, or faculty member.

Posters will be displayed on bulletin boards measuring 43"x68" (h x w). 

Travel Awards: Six travel awards ($500) will be given to Center members for 3 categories of poster presentations, 2 each for students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty/staff.
