 Continuing Education Programs
These programs are approved for continuing education credit for a variety of health providers, including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, and long-term care administrators.

GeriaSims

GeriaSims are interactive, "virtual patient" simulations on the care of older adults. They are approved for up to two hours of CME credit for physicians and physician assistants.

GeriaFlix & GeriaTrax

GeriaFlix & GeriaTrax are multidisciplinary presentations on geriatric topics in a streaming digital video and/or audio format with synchronized slides. They are appropriate for learners in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and other allied health disciplines, and are approved for CME and nurse CEU credit.

Geriatric Lecture Series

The Geriatric Lecture Series is a monthly series of presentations given at the University of Iowa and broadcast live over the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), a dial-up system that uses regular telephone lines to digitally transmit information among multiple sites. Selected sessions may also be presented over the Iowa Communications Network (ICN), the advanced fiber-optic telecommunication network linking nearly 650 sites across the state.
