New Freedom Commission Report on Evidence Based Practices
This is a good background paper from the President's New Freedom Commission Subcommittee on evidence-based practices, which outlines the issues and proposes strategies at the national and local levels.

Model Programs
A
listing of specific programs that SAMSHA (Substance Abuse
and Mental Health Administration) has classified as either
an effective, promising or model program based on the strength
of their evidence for achieving specific outcomes, degree
of dissemination, and availably of technical assistance.
A good resource.
Searchable
Database of Evidence-Based Practices
A
limited but useful database of mental health practices that
have been "blessed" as evidence-based by various
academic, administrative and advocacy groups prepared by
the New York's Office of Mental Health.
Oregon
Definition of Evidence-Based Practices
In
2003, the state of Oregon enacted legislation mandating
the use of "evidence-based practices" in their
mental health and addiction service systems. As part of
the implementation process, their state mental health authority
created an operational definition of this term resulting
in an "evidence continuum" with a matrix that
may may be very useful for the state of Iowa in implementing
SF2288.

6 - 9 with anxiety or depressive disorders and exposure to
significant traumatic events. Evidence-base still in
the process of being established, but may be a practical application
of TF-CBT in the school setting.

A
very readable document out of Michigan geared towards family
member, explaining their concept of EBPs and listing practices
for children and adolescents that meet their criteria as evidence-based.
Their criteria are fairly restrictive and are primarily based
on 1) manualization and 2) controlled trials.
