Graduate Education
The Biosciences Program is a multidisciplinary entry program for 17 PhD degree granting programs at The University of Iowa. The Biosciences Program provides students the flexibility of investigating several disciplines including biomedical and basic sciences prior to affiliating with a specific degree program.
With
over 100 faculty from more than 40 collegiate programs and departments,
our students create a flexible curriculum based on individual interests
& goals, while learning alongside nationally-recognized faculty in
our world-renowned research programs.
The Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Genetics seeks to train students in the fronteirs of genetics research and develop leaders that meet the upcoming challenges in the dynamic field. The program includes 60 faculty members from 18 departments in four colleges at The University of Iowa.
The Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) provides training for both the MD and PhD degrees in an environment that integrates graduate research training with clinical studies.
The UI Graduate College offers a wide variety of graduate study, certificate and summer undergraduate studies.
Students at the Carver College of Medicine are educated in an atmosphere
of scholarship, humanism, and mutual respect, as well as fostering the
ability to manage the changing scientific and technological information
so necessary in today's world.
