Dear People of the future,

Greetings from Mr. HammondsŐs fourth grade class.  We go to school at Cattell Elementary.  It is in Des Moines.  Des Moines is the capital of Iowa. We have pets that are animals that live with us for fun.  Most pets are cats and dogs.  Most people live in houses, apartments, or duplexes.

Our class has 27 students and we sit it pods, or groups of desks.  We do a lot of division and multiplication.  Our subjects in school are math, reading, social studies, science, and writing.  We also read a lot of books.  Our class thinks in one hundred years from now teachers will be nicer to kids.  We wish teachers could be robots so we could turn them off.  Our class believes that there will be flying robot teachers. We think school will be longer in the future too.

Do you know how to shock someone? Just rub your feet on the carpet and touch someone.  We discovered that in science.

Some of our popular television shows are Sponge Bob Square Pants, Dragonball GT, and He-Man.  Some people collect cards and cars called Hotwheels.

Our cars run on gas.  We think that in the future you will have stuff that flies.  Are your cars voice-activated?  Maybe in the future there will be solar surfing.  Another prediction for the future is hover boards.

Do robots do anything you say?  Have you discovered that aliens are real?  What are the styles of clothes you wear in the future?

Our class hopes that this letter finds you happy and in good health.  Hopefully, everyone has taken care of the earth to preserve the wonderful planet where we live.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Mr. Hammonds
