ADVISORY COMMITTEES

The Internal Advisory Committee, comprised of members not directly affiliated with the GPTB, offers specific advise and strategies on the inclusion of women and minority trainees, assists with apprising the National Institute of Health and other University of Iowa components of the GPTB's success and status, aids in meeting the GPTB's goals and objectives, and conducts an independent GPTB assessment and evaluation.

Internal Advisory Committee Members

The Multidisciplinary Advisory Committee, or MAC, oversees all administrative functions of the GPTB, including overseeing an ongoing review of Program recruitment; approving the multidisciplinary training modules; selecting candidates; monitoring the progress of Program trainees; gauging the ongoing effectiveness of the core curriculum; reviewing each trainee's thesis and/or thesis proposal; and performing a yearly formal review of the GPTB to ensure optimal performance.
