This multidisciplinary component offers dental scientists unique core
facilities in which clinical research projects on the oral and dental
health of adults and special populations may be conducted. These
facilities include the use of a designated clinical research facility
(Dental Clinical Research Center) at the College of Dentistry. Drs.
James Wefel and Clark Stanford oversee the daily operations of this
component. Dr. Wefel is the Director of the Dows Institute for
Dental Research while Dr. Stanford is the Director of Clinical Research
for the College of Dentistry. For further information,
