The Fuerste Family Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series
The University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series was initiated in 2007 by Department Chair, Keith Carter, MD, to honor Alumni of the University of Iowa's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences who have made significant contributions to the practive of Ophthalmology.
The award was created to honor those before us willing to share their life experiences with the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology Faculty and trainees. The initial two lectures were funded by the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Subsequent lectures will be funded by the generous support of the Fuerste Family Fund.
