Research Summary

My research interests are focused on improving the outcomes and ultimate function and quality-of-life after surgical removal of sarcoma. This includes participation in a number of clinical trials, both as a collaborator and primary investigator. I am also president of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Research Initiative, a consortium of orthopaedic oncologists with the common goal of improving care of sarcoma patients through collaborative research. I have experience with large database investigation of risk factors for adverse outcomes in sarcoma. Finally, I collaborate with our biomechanics laboratory in development of a finite-element model of metastatic disease to bone.
