Close to where I grew up, great reputation, friendly atmosphere, great facilities...what's not to like? I would be dumb to go anywhere else.
I love science and I wanted to have a career where I felt like I had a chance to make a difference in people's lives on a daily basis. I also consider myself a people person and enjoy developing meaningful relationships that are a big part of a career in medicine.

I was very impressed by the Carver College of Medicine's efforts to foster collaboration between students especially through the learning communities. The administration is very receptive to student feedback and faculty are generally very willing to go the extra mile to teach and train future providers.
Health is an essential component to the overall well-being of individuals and communities. I feel fortunate to have grown up in good health and hope to be able to use my love for learning to "pay it forward" and make a difference in others' lives.

I wanted to be an exceptional physical therapist, capable of providing understanding care to my patients, and the University of Iowa gave me the tools to do that. The University of Iowa and the Carver College of Medicine's Department of Physical Therapy has some of the best staff in the country who know how to prepare students for a career in physical therapy.
