LABORATORY-BASIC• Effects of radiation on Dermal Microvascular Endothelial Cells • Modulation of radiation-induced skin injury by anti-oxidative stress gene transfer and biochemical mimics strategies. • The potential role of constitutive and inducible nitric oxide synthases in radiocontrast-induced nephrotoxicity in diabetic rats. • Imaging of gene expression following gene therapy. LABORATORY-APPLIED: • Devices and concepts for percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, and peripheral vessels. • Non-covered Nitinol mesh graft for the percutaneous exclusion of abdominal aortic aneurysms. • Stent and stent-graft technology. • Trans-catheter sutureless cholecysto-duodenal biliary diversion. CLINICAL: • Diagnosis and percutaneous management of peripheral vascular disease. • Percutaneous interventional approaches in complex aorto-iliac and visceral vascular occlusive disease. • Percutaneous management of occlusive central venous disease. • Percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy. • Magnetic resonance angiography. • Percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy • Interventional management of failing native hemodialysis arterio-venous fistulae. • Brachytherapy for the prevention of restenosis. • Central venous access. • MR angiography • Doppler sonography.
