Research Summary

I am interested in making the catheterization laboratory as non-invasive as an invasive procedure can become. This has prompted me to specialize in radiation free catheterizations for arrhythmias and evaluate the outcomes in patients with whom we use this technique. Additionally, I have been evaluating the use of a non-invasive blood pressure monitoring system that performs without the need to place a line in the artery (the traditional means of measurement). I currently lead the multi-institutional research evaluating the variability of heart rate in infants undergoing heart surgery with the goal of improving patient outcome. I am also involved in multiple multi-center research projects evaluating arrhythmias and their treatment in children.
