Research Description

I study ExsA, an AraC family protein and transcriptional activator in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Specifically, I am interested in ExsA interactions involved in type III secretion system regulation. These include self association, DNA binding, and interactions with RNA polymerase required for activation of the T3SS as well as association with an inhibitory protein, ExsD.
