An RSS, as defined by the ACCME, is a course that is planned as a series with multiple ongoing sessions that are offered weekly, monthly or quarterly. RSS are primarily planned by and presented to the accredited organization's professional staff. Examples include grand rounds, tumor boards, and morbidity and mortality conferences.
If you are interested in applying for the AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM designation for your RSS, please review the requirements for managing an RSS in the Regularly Scheduled Series Compliance Handbook. If after reviewing the requirements you would like to begin the application process, contact Britt Deerberg in the Office of Continuing Medical Education at (319) 384-4418 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
