Autism Spectrum Disorders
Autism spectrum disorders are developmental brain disorders that appear before the age of three. They affect the parts of the brain that controls language and social interaction. Individuals with autism spectrum disorders may have problems with verbal and non-verbal communication and social interactions. Children and adults with autism spectrum disorders often repeat activities and movement. They resist change in their environment. They prefer the same daily routine. They also react differently to sensations like touch or loud noises. These disorders can range from mild to severe. Here at CDD we have developed additional information to help you.
